Analysis of Female Specific Leadership Style in Organizations Dealing with Information Technology Development

The aim of the diploma thesis „Analysis of Female Specific Leadership Style in Organizations Dealing with Information Technology Development“ is based on an analysis of working styles of man and woman lead with regard to defining the specifics of women's leadership in comparison to men. The theoretical part provides basic terms related to this topic, especially the gender, and the related stereotypes. Adequate attention is paid to the current situation in management from the women’s perspective. Empirical part documents the course of quantitative research performed in the company, when the style of leadership has been studied in accordance with the stated hypotheses. At the end the summary of the findings is discussed in the context of their potential contribution to the company's experience in the field of management and cultivation of human resources.

Women in the management of Czech ice hockey

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou zastoupení žen v managementu hokejových týmů, které hrají českou nejvyšší soutěž v sezóně 2022/2023. Práce se zaměřuje na působení žen v tomto světě, který je většinovou společností vnímán jako převážně mužský. Cílem této práce je zjistit, zda jsou ženy schopny se v tomto prostředí dostatečně realizovat, jak toto prostředí samy vnímají a jestli je český hokej připravený dát ženám prostor. V teoretické části se práce věnuje mediálnímu prostředí a jeho specifiky, dotýká se tématu genderu, stereotypů i diskriminace. Vymezen je i pojem managementu. V praktické části bylo vyzpovídáno sedm žen napříč hokejovou extraligou i různými pozicemi v hokejovém managementu, a to metodou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Z nich pak bylo dosaženo závěrů za užití metody zakotvené teorie. Součástí praktické části je porovnání výsledku této práce s výsledky diplomové práce, která se zaměřovala na působení žen redaktorek ve sportovních redakcích. The Effect of Social Class on Marriage in the Works of Jane Austen

This diploma thesis focuses on the differences between social classes in Regency England at the turn of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and the extent to which these social inequalities affect the formation of marriage in the six completed novels of the author Jane Austen. As this period was also marked by the disadvantaged position of women in society and in marriage, the thesis also includes an analysis of these issues and the distinctions in rights and responsibilities between male and female characters. The overall aim of the thesis is to highlight the conditions under which the characters in Jane Austen's novels decide to enter into marriage, what role the differences in social status play for them when choosing a partner, and whether they take into account their feelings or rather economic and social reasons when doing so.

Vývoj a proměny postavení žen v současném Turecku

The development and status of women in Turkey is to a certain extent influenced by both the culture and traditions of the country and Islam itself, as the main religion. The document is divided into a theoretical and an analytical part. The theoretical part initially deals with Turkish legislation concerning women’s rights, then examines the withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention in more detail. It also describes the steps and the very positions of the current AKP government on the issue of the status of Turkish women. Additionally, it focuses on the aspect of religion, family structure or women’s organizations in the country trying to promote women’s issues. A separate chapter is devoted to education and how gender inequality is rooted in it. The analytical part is devoted to the results of the qualitative research that was carried out for the purpose of this work. A total of 13 interviews were conducted with women of Turkish nationality, during which they were asked about their personal experiences in the field of gender inequality and their opinion on the issue. The results themselves show diversity of opinions and attitudes, as some informants were convinced of the absence of gender discrimination in the country, while others, on the contrary, described Turkish society as patriarchally dominated, where women are no longer equal to men.

ABSTRACT: This thesis is focused on the interpretation of novels writen by writer Božena Viková Kunětická. An important role in the interpretation of works plays context in which currency are the works built. Interpreting the works of contemporary issues is supported women's issues and the status of women in public and domestic spaces. The first part is the atmosphere of the period in terms of the women's movement. The second part is dedicated to the interpretation of four novels Božena Viková Kunětická. The main theme of novelistic creation is a woman in several different roles and perspectives on marriage, motherhood or adolescence. Interpretation of the novel creation of Božena Viková Kunětická closes its comparison with the writer Ružena Svobodová, which was devoted to his work in a similar topic. Gender inequalities in the Czech labour market from the perspective of women in managerial positions - a case study

This bachelor thesis deals with gender inequalities in the Czech labour market. More specifically, it focuses on women in managerial positions and tries to find out from what perspective we should look at the issue. The choice of this specific group of women is as follows because they are the ones who have gone through the entire career process to the highest management positions. An important partial objective is the related factors that can influence the participation of women in the labour market. The bachelor thesis is divided into four parts. The first part is theoretical and concerns the issue of vertical gender segregation. It introduces the basic concepts, substantial statistics, and previous research on the subject. The second part outlines the basic and partial aims of the bachelor thesis and related research questions. The third part deals with methodology and method of data analysis. It also contains individual stories of respondents. This is the last practical part that focuses on specific results and findings. These are interpreted in connection with the theoretical anchor and extend the previous research on the subject.

The influence of religion on the status of women in selected countries The diploma thesis comes from theoretical concepts of feminist geography, geography of religion and from the research of gender inequalities. It tries to analyze the influence of selected religions on the status of women in the society and to compare Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and those without religion in this field. It comes from a thought, that gender equality is an important element for social and economical development of the state and for democracy. The key research topic for this thesis is how extensive influence the religion has on the status of woman in the society. Based on quantitative analysis of data from 41 chosen states of the world, the thesis endeavours to judge the impact of religion on the status of women in terms of social, political and economical level. One of the premises of the thesis is a presumption, that the status of women is the best in society where the majority of population is without religion, then in Christian society, Buddhist and Hinduism society and the worst in Muslim society.
